Wigs are a medical necessity
For someone going through chemotherapy, radiation, alopecia or another condition that causes hair loss, a wig is not a cosmetic accessory. It is often the difference between walking into a room as yourself and feeling defined by your diagnosis. Yet a quality wig costs between $300 and $500, and most insurance plans will not cover it.
Flow Foundation exists to close that gap. We believe that no one in Minnesota should have to choose between paying for treatment and holding on to their sense of self. Every wig we provide is free, personalized to the person receiving it, and fitted with the same care you'd expect from a salon chair.
But a wig alone is not enough. We pair every fitting with hope, guidance and community: connections to specialists, help navigating insurance and care systems, and a network of people who understand exactly what this season feels like. Restoring confidence is the beginning of the work, not the end of it.
